Mandocello

The Mandocello can be produced as either an A or F5 model. This instrument is almost unknown in our country and unjustly neglected, perhaps due to its higher price. It is tuned C,G,D,A like the mandola, but an octave lower; i.e. like the cello.

It has a very beautiful, deep, captivating tone and is used primarily in classical music (in orchestras and quartets), in jazz and very rarely in bluegrass.
