Henhouse Prowlers - a great four-piece band that formed 20 years ago with a desire to play original and powerful bluegrass.
On stage, they show the audience how much they love what they do with their riveting performances. Although bluegrass is the undeniable foundation of the Prowlers' music, the band is changing the traditional form to create an unmistakable sound that you will love!
As Bluegrass Ambassadors, they have toured more than 25 countries. Experiences with people and musicians from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East have shaped the band's view of the world. Drawing on traditional American music that blends folk music, customs and history from around the world, the Prowlers incorporate international elements into their already strong repertoire of uniquely traditional American music.
Stephen Mougin - an excellent guitarist nicknamed Mojo, who is best known as a member of
the Sam Bush Band. But he is also an award-winning producer and recording engineer, label head, mentor, songwriter and sought-after instructor. He is a sought-after partner for any creative venture in the world of acoustic music. If you've been intrigued by a new bluegrass band in recent years, or if you get goosebumps when you hear a new song, chances are Mojo has a hand in it.
Jana Mougin - Born as Jana Doláková in Slovakia, she studied classical singing and became the singer, bassist and frontwoman of the Czech-Slovak bluegrass band Fragment, with whom she spent a dozen years touring Europe and the United States, during which time they recorded eight albums. In 2006, she married Sam Bush Band guitarist Stephen Mougin and moved to the United States, together forming Dark Shadow Studios and then Dark Shadow Records. And now she's fully back into her music career as well.
